Portrait of Themis Tsiligkoudis

Senior Full-Stack .NET Engineer

Themis Tsiligkoudis

Six years shipping production .NET — C#, ASP.NET Core, Blazor and SQL Server — on an education platform used by schools and universities, where I own features from database schema to released UI, and the incidents that follow them. On my own time I designed, built and now single-handedly operate watchario.app: a .NET 10 product with a public REST API, paying users, and nobody else on call.

Flagship Project

What I Bring

  • End-to-end ownership. I take a feature from schema design through API, UI and deployment — and stay responsible for it once it is live.
  • Legacy code without drama. Six years inside a large, long-lived codebase: reading unfamiliar code, isolating root causes, refactoring safely.
  • API design that survives contact. REST and OpenAPI, versioning, idempotent webhooks, and clients that respect third-party rate limits.
  • Production operations. Containerised deploys, continuous database replication, tested restore procedures, and diagnosing failures under load.
  • Data and reporting depth. T-SQL and EF Core, plus 400+ SSRS reports authored against a complex relational model.
  • Security by default. OAuth 2.0 and PKCE flows, SSRF-safe handling of user-supplied URLs, and disciplined secret and credential hygiene.
  • Customer-facing instinct. 3,000+ support cases taught me to translate vague user reports into reproducible, prioritised engineering work.
  • Remote-native by practice. Written-first communication, self-directed delivery, and a side product that proves I can run a system unsupervised.

Experience

Software Developer · Classter Oct 2022 — Present

Core developer on the company's flagship education-management SaaS — a large, long-lived ASP.NET codebase serving schools and universities. I deliver features end-to-end and own production incidents across the full stack.

  • Delivered 2,700+ Azure DevOps work items — features, backlog items and defects — accounting for 5,000+ tracked engineering hours.
  • 100+ of those were multi-day features of eight hours or more, together over 40% of all my tracked time — the depth behind the volume.
  • Designed and shipped features across the stack — ASP.NET and C# on the server, jQuery and vanilla JavaScript across a large established front end, T-SQL underneath — from schema change to released UI.
  • Root-caused and fixed complex production defects spanning application code, stored procedures and third-party integrations.
  • Refactored legacy modules onto modern patterns, cutting repeat incidents and making the affected areas safe for the rest of the team to change.
  • Reviewed teammates' pull requests and contributed to technical decisions on new modules.
Software Developer & Technical Support Engineer · Classter Mar 2021 — Oct 2022

The technical bridge between customers and engineering: reproducing real-world failures, fixing what I could directly, and turning everything else into precise, actionable backlog items.

  • Resolved 3,000+ customer cases across configuration, data integrity, reporting and integration issues.
  • Closed 500+ engineering cases covering data migrations, corrective scripts and reporting defects.
  • Authored 400+ SSRS reports from scratch and reworked 150+ existing ones against a complex relational model.
  • Wrote 250+ T-SQL scripts for customer-specific fixes, bulk corrections and custom requirements.
  • Filed 2,000+ triaged defect and backlog items, each with reproduction steps engineering could act on immediately.
  • Integrated and debugged third-party providers and external APIs on behalf of customer deployments.
Conscript — IT Office · Hellenic Army Sep 2020 — May 2021

Assigned to office IT duties on the strength of my Computer Science background. Automated the administrative work that was consuming the unit's time.

  • Rebuilt an Excel VBA program that automatically assigns personnel to daily duties, removing a recurring manual rota.
  • Reworked the tool that tracks and calculates leave records, eliminating a long-standing source of errors.
  • Digitised and indexed the unit's personnel archive for fast retrieval.
  • Ran intake interviews for incoming personnel and repaired faulty office electronics.
Software Engineering Intern · Classter Jul 2020 — Sep 2020

First exposure to a real product and a real engineering process — and the start of an unbroken run at the same company.

  • Wrote test cases and validated new features through structured manual testing.
  • Documented database schemas to support onboarding and feature work.
  • Built custom CSS themes for the company's main product.
  • Assisted in setting up the company's internal network infrastructure.

Selected Projects

Beyond Watchario — self-directed builds, each shipped rather than abandoned half-finished. Where a demo is deployed it is linked; the source sits next to it either way.

Sedulum — Scheduling SaaS

Multi-tenant appointment-scheduling platform: every customer is provisioned its own subdomain with isolated data and per-tenant configuration, behind a marketing site with its own pricing and sign-up flow. Infrastructure, database, tenant model and settings layer all designed from scratch.

Nomad Riders Go

Route guide for a Kavala motorcycling channel, on the same .NET MAUI Blazor stack as Watchario and deployed to Fly.io. Curated routes plus the channel’s latest uploads pulled live from the YouTube Data API.

EShop — ASP.NET Core

Full e-commerce application on ASP.NET Core: catalogue, cart, orders and admin, built on a clean layered architecture.

EShop Web API

The REST API behind EShop — versioned, documented with Swagger, and consumed by both the web and the mobile client.

Library Management

Lending and catalogue management on ASP.NET Core, reusing the architectural patterns proven in EShop.

Real-Time Chat & Multiplayer

SignalR server powering live messaging and online multiplayer sessions across the web and mobile clients.

File Service API

A shared file-handling REST service in ASP.NET Core that every other project in this list depends on.

Hangman — Web & Mobile

The classic game in vanilla JavaScript and as a .NET MAUI app, with online multiplayer over the SignalR server above.

EShop Mobile

Cross-platform .NET MAUI client for the EShop API — the same domain, a native shell.

Arduino Anti-Theft Device

Embedded GPS / GSM / GPRS prototype that detects unauthorised movement and reports its position over the mobile network.

Also on GitHub: the original ASP.NET MVC build of EShop, and the source of this page.

Education & Credentials
